You knew it was coming.
Anderson Silva may have a lot of respect for the Paul brothers, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be open to fighting one of them next.
Silva was successful in his return to the boxing ring this weekend when he defeated former WBC middleweight titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by split decision. ‘The Spider’ was a big underdog heading into the fight with Chavez Jr, but he outboxed the Mexican in what was a feel-good bout for the MMA world.
Unsurprisingly, social media was quick to react to Silva’s win with none other than the highly talked about Jake Paul paying respect to Silva.
Respect to Anderson Silva @spideranderson on the win….vc é uma lenda brasileira! Would be an honor to have him vs Roy Jones Jr on the same card as Tyron and I

“Wow – yes, absolutely,” Silva said to MMA Junkie, about being open to work with Paul. “I respect both. I have a great relationship with both brothers, and yeah, I think this is possible, too. That’s entertaining. It’s a fight, but it’s entertaining. Logan and his brother are amazing guys. The people like to talk a lot about the guys, but they’re very good people. I respect both, and I respect the sport. I think everything’s possible. I think it’s the next fight may be with Logan Paul, maybe.”
Logan Paul recently went eight rounds with former multiple-weight champion and boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr in an exhibition bout. Meanwhile, Jake Paul is 3-0 as a boxing professional and is scheduled to fight former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in August.
