Tyron Woodley has been working at the Mayweather Boxing Club ahead of his fight with Jake Paul in August.
Tyron Woodley has been training with Floyd Mayweather ahead of his August 28th boxing match with Jake Paul.
The pound-for-pound boxing great Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) encouraged Woodley to reach out to his team and train at the Mayweather Boxing Club when talking to reporters last month. It’s clear Mayweather was true to his word, as Woodley posted pictures of a recent training session with ‘Money’ on social media.

“We trained, and I’m like ‘Oh shit this is for real,’” Woodley told Fight Hub TV”. I shadowboxed for nearly an hour, it doesn’t sound like much but I dare somebody shadowbox for ten minutes and come holla at me. Your calves are going to be burning a whole different way. When I got done, he wanted me to jump on the bag.”
After news broke of Woodley vs. Paul, ‘The Chosen One’ revealed the fight would be the biggest purse of his lengthy career. Woodley’s former boss, UFC president Dana White, was quick to dismiss Woodley’s claims as ‘bulls—t’.
“[Floyd] said ‘We box the mitts, we fight the bag. Give me UFC power.’ There ain’t no timer, ain’t no rounds,” Woodley continued. “When you already did a crazy workout earlier and your calves are burning, you don’t want to say, ‘Ah champ my calves burning.’ I can’t say that. That sounds stupid, that sounds soft. I had to find a way to dig, throw punches and respond to what he wanted me to do.”
