Kevin Holland will hope to get back in the win column when he faces Kyle Daukaus on October 2nd.
Middleweights Kevin Holland and Kyle Daukaus are set to meet at a UFC Fight Night event on October 2nd.
MMA Fighting first reported the matchup, though the UFC is yet to officially announce the fight. The Fight Night on October 2nd is expected to be headlined by an all-Brazilian light heavyweight fight between Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker.
After a terrific 2020 campaign that saw him pick up five straight wins at 185-pounds, Holland (21-7) has suffered back-to-back defeats so far in 2021. ‘Trailblazer’ was outwrestled for five rounds by Derek Brunson in March, only to suffer the same treatment against Marvin Vettori the following month.
Daukaus (10-2) was signed to the UFC last June and has since gone 1-2 in the promotion. The former CFFC champion suffered a decision loss to Brendan Allen in his promotional debut, but picked up his first win at UFC 255 when he defeated Dustin Stoltzfus. Daukaus most recently fought at UFC Vegas 26 in May, losing a decision to Phil Hawes.
