Conor McGregor responds to Rafael dos Anjos being the backup fighter for the UFC 264 main event.

Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos will serve as a backup fighter for the UFC 264 main event between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, as the Brazilian is currently in Las Vegas cutting weight as a precaution.

McGregor soon got word of the news and responded via Twitter, claiming he’d have no problem fighting dos Anjos and Poirier both at the same time.

“Put dos Anjos in at the same time,” McGregor, who is scheduled to meet Poirier in a trilogy bout on Saturday, posted on Thursday morning.

Dos Anjos was originally scheduled to meet McGregor in the UFC 196 main event (2016) to defend his lightweight title but was forced out of the matchup due to injury. The Brazilian responded to McGregor’s latest tweet by taking a pop at the Irishman’s ‘cheap’ Irish whiskey brand, Proper No. 12.

“Alcoholic hallucinosis from drinking cheap whiskey until 3:39am,” dos Anjos posted on Twitter.

UFC 264: Poirier vs. McGregor 3 takes place Saturday, July 10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
