It’s no $75,000 bonus, but the UFC did throw a little something extra at the fighters competing on this weekend’s UFC APEX card.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events back at the APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, are always a little flat after a big sold-out crowd show, and UFC Vegas 31 was no different after the insanity that was UFC 264. But, that didn’t stop the fighters on the card from delivering big, and in turn UFC brass decided to award the fighters with extra “Performance of the Night” bonuses. Normally there’s a “Fight of the Night” and two “Performance of the Night” bonuses worth $50,000 each.

This time for UFC Vegas 31, UFC dished out four “Performance of the Night” bonuses instead of two.

Your “Fight of the Night?” Gabriel Benitez vs. Billy Quarantillo, which saw Quarantillo dismantle a very stubborn Benitez who never stopped trying to win (watch highlights).

As for the “Performances of the Night” money, it went to Miesha Tate, Rodolfo Vieira, Rodrigo Nascimento and Mateusz Gamrot.

While Tate’s finish of Marion Reneau wasn’t the flashiest, it sure was rock-solid after five years away from competition. Vieira re-affirmed how dangerous he is as a submission specialist by putting Dustin Stoltzfus to sleep with a rear-naked choke. Nascimento opened up the “Prelims” undercard with a come from behind knockout of Alan Baudot. And Mateusz Gamrot went through Jeremy Stephens like a hot knife through butter, taking him down and submitting him with a kimura (remember those?) in little more than one minute.

Each fighter pockets $50,000 for their hard work in the cage.
