Former U.S. President Donald Trump made a rare public appearance at the UFC 264 pay-per-view (PPV) event back on July 10 in Las Vegas, a special guest of longtime friend and staunch Re-Trump-lican Dana White.

And UFC fans “cheered the fuck out of him.”

That’s according to UFC color commentator Joe Rogan, who got a chance to shake hands with the embattled real estate mogul. Unfortunately, Rogan was too busy handling his fight night duties to get a selfie with Trump during his surprise visit.

“I had my headphones on and I said ‘Hey, how’re you doing man? Nice meeting you.’ Shook his hand and got a video of it,” Rogan said during his latest podcast. “It’s kinda hilarious. He’s like ‘Oh you do a tremendous job, amazing job, good job.’ I should have got a selfie with him, fuck. What are you going to do? It was weird. It was very weird. When he walked in though, I’m telling you man they cheered the fuck out of him.”

UFC 264 was headlined by the trilogy fight between lightweight rivals Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, which ended in the opening frame when “Notorious” broke his leg. A rematch may (or may not) happen when McGregor makes his return in late 2022.

Two years before Trump plans to make his return in 2024.

White and Co. remain loyal to the casino magnate because Trump welcomed UFC in a time when most public venues shunned MMA. Now we’re living in a time when most public venues shun Donald Trump, so UFC appears to be repaying the favor.
