Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington will get a second chance at dethroning reigning 170-pound titleholder Kamaru Usman when they run it back in the UFC 268 pay-per-view (PPV) main event this November in New York City.

Covington has a little treat for his fans in “The Big Apple,” recently announcing his intention to walk out with “Lil’ Wayne,” who probably got that nickname for standing just 5’5” tall. The song of choice? None other than “Sky’s The Limit,” according to “Chaos.”

“I’m definitely going to be having Lil’ Wayne walk me out. My boy little Weezy. He’s my favorite rapper,” Covington told Submission Radio. “Yes, little Weezy, my favorite artist and rapper growing up. He’s the best rapper alive. He should be the president. He’s such a great person, has such smart philosophies and ideas, but he’s going to be walking me out, and we’re going to be walking out to ‘Sky is the limit, the limit’. You know, cause the sky is the limit.”

Actually the fifth round is the limit, at least in UFC title fights. Covington was previously stopped by Usman in the final frame of their UFC 245 main event back in late 2019, which left the trash-talking “Chaos” with a broken jaw (and a bruised ego).

Usman successfully defended his title three times since they last met, scoring consecutive knockout wins over Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal along the way. Covington, meanwhile, has been inactive outside of his Tyron Woodley win in Sept. 2020.
