One fight, one finish. Houston is already rocking as UFC 265 kicks off …
Johnny Munoz scored his fourth career win via rear-naked choke at UFC 265, subbing out Jamey Simmons 2:35 into the second round of their Bantamweight bout tonight (Sat., Aug. 7, 2021) inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Simmons seemed out-classed by Munoz whenever the fight hit the feet, and when Munoz hit a double-leg takedown early into the round, it was just a matter of time. Simmons gave up his back, Munoz took it happily, and after a failed neck crank managed to slip the arm under the chin and force a tap.
