Justin Jaynes was cut after a string of short notice appearances for the UFC.
According to his coach Eric Nicksick, Justin Jaynes was recently released from the UFC, on his birthday. Nicksick revealed that information to illustrate a point that Jaynes, along with his other student Kai Kamaka, were released from the UFC despite helping out the promotion by taking on short notice fights.

“For all you young fighters out there, keep this in mind,” wrote Nicksick. “Just because you’re doing “the company a favour,” doesn’t necessarily mean it comes full circle when it’s renegotation time.”
The most notable aspect of Jaynes tenure in the UFC was the revelation that he bet his entire purse on himself to win last time out. Jaynes told anyone who would listen that he was staking $25,000 that he would beat Charles Rosa at UFC Vegas 30 in June.
Jaynes vehemently defended his decision, telling critics he didn’t “give a fuck” about their concerns. Jaynes went on to lose to Rosa. Afterwards he said he had “no regrets”.
Jaynes won his UFC debut in 2020, KOing Frank Camacho in 41-seconds and earning a Performance of the Night award. He then lost four fights in a row, starting with a submission defeat to Gavin Tucker and followed by TKOs to Gabriel Benitez and Devonte Smith.
His final fight, against Rosa, ended in a split decision loss.
