Paul vs. Woodley goes down this Sunday, August 29th at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH.

The biggest event in combat sports this week isn’t taking place in the UFC, but it does involve a former UFC champion. Ex-welterweight king Tyron Woodley is set to square off with YouTube celebrity turned boxer Jake Paul.

The bout mark’s Paul’s forth foray into professional pugilism, and will serve as Woodley’s debut in the boxing ring. The ‘Chosen One’ exited his contract with the world’s largest mixed martial arts promotion back in March, following a submission loss to Vicente Luque—Woodley’s fourth straight loss inside the Octagon.

Just a few week’s following Woodley’s UFC exit, Paul defeated longtime ‘T-Wood’ friend and training partner, former Bellator and ONE Championship title holder Ben Askren. Much like Woodley, the bout served as Askren’s first attempt at professional boxing. He lost by knockout just two minutes into the first round.

Woodley vs. Paul will air on Showtime PPV, starting at 8pm ET/5pm Pacific this Sunday, August 29th in Cleveland, OH. Also on the card will be a women’s featherweight boxing title fight between WBC/WBO champ Amanda Serrano and challenger Yamileth Mercado.
