Having destroyed Ben Askren in his most recent effort, social media sensation-turned slugger Jake Paul will look to make it 2-0 against standout mixed martial arts (MMA) wrestlers tonight (Sun., Aug. 29, 2021) when he takes on former UFC Welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, in a pay-per-view (PPV) main event.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE coverage of tonight’s PPV main card. The $59.99 FITE/Showtime PPV kicks off at 8 p.m. ET (watch it here), with Paul and Woodley likely to make the walk closer to midnight.

The card will also see one of the best in the business, Amanda Serrano, put her Featherweight belts on the line against Super Bantamweight champion, Yamileth Mercado. Further boxing action includes a Super Lightweight crossroads match between prospect Montana Love and lethal veteran Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk, Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois’ latest appearance against “Joe” Cusumano, and potential future Paul foe Tommy Fury’s clash with Bellator vet Anthony Taylor.

Round three: Serrano keeping up the pressure, landing jabs. Continuing to dig left hands to the body. Right hand downstairs from Mercado, eats a cross in return. Halfway through. Round four: Serrano continuing to press forward. The power and volume differential is just too much; Mercado’s bursting in once in a while but not landing anything meaningful. Halfway through. Round nine: Mercado lands a left downstairs and they roughhouse inside. Serrano backs her up with a combination on the ropes. More pressure from Serrano, combo and overhand right by Mercado. Good right hand catches Mercado throwing and Serrano tries to capitalize. Halfway through. Hard body shots by Serrano. They trade rights on the exit. Serrano goes head-body. Big looping left, hooks on the ropes. 10-9, 90-81 Serrano.

Round ten: Serrano pushing forward and throwing volume. Mercado right there with her, landing low and high. Huge right hook hurts Mercado and Serrano looks to pile on the combos. Halfway through. Hard right hands upstairs. Mercado trying to throw back, getting the worst of it. 2-3 hurts Mercado again. Some final exchanges. 10-9, 100-90 Serrano.

Heavyweight: Daniel Dubois vs. Juiseppe Cusumano

Round one: Early 1-2 lands for Dubois. Cusumano looking a little unpolished. Another right cross from Dubois, clinch. Combination on the ropes capped by an overhand behind the ear and Cusumano’s down less than a minute into the round. Cusumano barely beats the count. Dubois jumps on him, throwing heat. Cusumano with an overhand right in return but a 1-2 drops him again. Again he takes as much of the count as he can. Dubois flurries on the ropes as soon as he gets up and there’s knockdown number three for the finish.

Final result: Dubois def. Cusumano by TKO


140 lbs.: Ivan Baranchyk vs. Montana Love

Round one: Baranchyk on the front foot immediately. Love circling. Baranchyk swings, gets clinched. Love tries a straight left. Baranchyk falls short with lefts, lands a body shot. Jab connects as he avoids an uppercut. Big left hook whiffs. Good defensive movement from Love so far. Straight left. Baranchyk bursts in with some big hooks on the ropes that appear to connect. 10-9 Baranchyk.

Round two: Baranchyk continuing to pressure, eats a body shot. Right hook, good lefts on the pivot. Clinch. Love tries a 1-2. Halfway through the round. Sticking and moving much better this round. Baranchyk struggling to cut off the ring. He whiffs in the corner. Slick check hook by Love. Counter left. Baranchyk charging in without success. He whiffs on a wide overhand, walks into another straight left. 10-9 Love, 19-19.

Round three: Baranchyk tries a right hook to the body. Love moving very well. Baranchyk swings hooks as they exit the clinch. Counter jab by Love. They trade lefts. Halfway through. Big overhand right and left hook suddenly wobble Love, who desperately ties up. Baranchyk stalking, whiffs, gets clinched. He flurries, then gets cracked while the ref is breaking them up. 10-9, 29-28 Baranchyk.

Round four: Baranchyk with a big early flurry. Straight left from Love. Baranchyk digs a body shot, clinch. Halfway through. Clinch. Sharp 1-2 by Love. Counter left uppercut. Both swing hard near the ropes. Love 1-2. Heavy left hand wobbles Baranchyk and Love pauses to showboat before following up. Good body shot from Love, who eats a right uppercut. 10-9 Love, 38-38.

Round five: Love sending out 1s and 2s through the guard. Baranchyk advancing, not landing clean. Love digs a left downstairs. Baranchyk tries some wild swings on the ropes halfway through. Clinch. 1-2 from Love. Sharp left uppercut, then another. Again, then a check hook that rattles Baranchyk again. Love waits to follow up. A few lefts land for him, then Baranchyk blasts him with a left hook that sends Love staggering back. 10-9, 48-47 Love.

Round six: 1-2, then a body shot from Love. Baranchyk trying to cut him off, eats a sneaky left. Halfway through the round. Love lands another 1-2. Sharp left as he circles. Clinch. Baranchyk rips a body shot, gets warned for hitting behind the head. 10-9, 58-56 Love.

Round seven: Love cracks him with an early combination. Baranchyk still game but getting picked off and isn’t throwing all that much back. More clean combos from Love. Lovely accuracy and fluidity from Love so far. Halfway through. Another clean 1-2 splits the guard. Baranchyk swings so hard he takes himself off his feet. Clinch. Brief clinch. Baranchyk tries to rush in at the 10-seconds clapper and gets folded by a counter left. He makes it up in time but his corner should think about stopping it.

Round one: Fury on the front foot early. Doesn’t seem to be a fight clock on the broadcast, FYI. Taylor staying mobile. Clinch. Fury throws an awkward flurry. Taylor whiffs on an overhand. Clinch, body punches from Taylor. Fury with a looping right hook. Clinch. Taylor wades in with an overhand right and ties up. Oh, there’s the clock with 40 seconds to go. Uppercut from Fury, clinch. They trade in the center. 10-9 Fury, I guess.

Round two: Fury tries a combo to the body. Taylor runs into the clinch once again. Overhand right misses. Fury combination, Taylor clinch. More clinching. Combination from Fury in center ring. Longer one soon after. Halfway through. Taylor lands a handful of looping overhands. Fury starting to put some combos together. Taylor looking amateurish to the extreme. clinch on the ropes. Flurry from Fury, another Taylor clinch. Bad body language from Taylor, who clinches again. 10-9, 20-18 Fury.

Round three: Taylor moving forward but not throwing. Clinch. Fury tries a right cross. Not throwing much either this round to be honest. Taylor slips and nearly falls out of the ring halfway through the round. They trade in the clinch at center ring. Jab lands for Fury. Taylor avoids a right hand on the ropes. 10-9, 30-27 Fury basically by default.

Round four: Early clinch. Taylor kinda flailing his way into the clinch. More flailing punches from Taylor that don’t connect. Fury combo, clinch. Halfway through. Fury pushes forward with a flurry that mostly lands. Continuing to land in the center. Lead right, clinch, uppercut. Another lead right by Fury, who’s warned for a rabbit punch. Taylor throws an overhand into the clinch. This suuuuucks. 10-9, 40-36 Fury.
