Jake Paul has once again proven he’s better than anyone in the MMA community gives him credit for, defeating Tyron Woodley via split decision with 78-74, 77-75, 75-77 scores.

The story of the fight saw Paul take the first three of eight rounds by picking Woodley apart with volume. Woodley looked similar to his slump era in the UFC where he simply didn’t throw his hands enough. But Tyron still has massive power and in round four he managed to crack Jake Paul with the hardest punch he’s taken in his professional boxing career. For the next two minutes Paul was in retreat with Woodley chasing him, but “The Chosen One” was unable to finish things.

Paul took back control of the fight in the 5th and from there once again used his movement and volume to carry enough rounds to win the fight. In our books we had it 78-74 Paul and honestly don’t know how Woodley convinced one job to give him a 77-75 scorecard. He did come closest to finishing the fight in the fourth round … but as they say, close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades.
