Tito Ortiz took to social media to complain about Anderson Silva hitting him in the back of the head in their fight, then deleted it.
Over the past weekend, UFC legends Tito Ortiz and Anderson Silva tangled in a boxing match under the Triller Fight Club banner. Ortiz ended up getting knocked unconscious by a vicious Silva flurry in the very first round. And it should come as no surprise to anyone that Ortiz wants to find an excuse for that emphatic loss.
The Huntington Beach Bad Boy took to social media earlier today to complain about Silva apparently hitting him in the back of the head. Then deleted the tweet soon after. Here’s what he had to say (via BJPenn.com):
“Nice right hand. But I didn’t know punching behind the head were legal. I need to practice this combo. Now I know why the back of my head is sore as hell.”
I’ve watched the ending of the fight a few times now and I fail to see where he actually gets hit in the back of the head. But again, this is Tito we’re talking about. It does look like the 46-year-old wants to continue in boxing though, and called out Logan Paul for a potential fight after his stoppage loss.
