Sean O’Malley’s next UFC opponent might just be Brian Kelleher, according to a new tweet by “Boom”.
Brian Kelleher suggests that he is Sean O’Malley’s next Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) opponent.
O’Malley vs. Kelleher might just make its way to fight fans before the year’s end. Kelleher called out O’Malley following the former’s victory over Domingo Pilarte at UFC Vegas 34 in August. Now, Kelleher teases that both sides have agreed to a fight.

“She said yes,” Kelleher tweeted on Monday morning alongside a wedding ring emoji and photos of him and O’Malley. “Boom” also tagged “Suga” in the social media post.
O’Malley recently circled Dec. 11 for his Octagon return. That date would coincide with UFC 269, which is expected to boast UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes vs. Julianne Pena, plus a UFC Men’s Flyweight trilogy title fight pitting Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo.
O’Malley (14-1) boasts a 5-1 run in his UFC career with finishes over Eddie Wineland (watch here), Thomas Almeida, José Alberto Quiñónez and, most recently, short-notice replacement Kris Moutinho (watch highlights).
Kelleher (23-12) is 7-5 with the promotion. The submission specialist has tapped out Ray Rodriguez, Ode Osbourne, Damian Stasiak and Iuri Alcantara. He also holds a knockout (KO) finish over Hunter Azure (watch here) and beat former UFC Bantamweight champion Renan Barao by decision.
