UFC 266 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s huge show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start off at the UFC Performance Institute with Alexander Volkanovski. He respects opponent Brian Ortega, but he doesn’t see any way Ortega potentially wins other than a puncher’s chance. He chills in the hot tub, saying it’s happy to be back in the PI.

Down in Texas, Lauren Murphy is preparing for her title fight. Her coach thinks they can handle Valentina Shevchenko. It’s crazy to him that Lauren is always the underdog. They visualize the whole fight scenario, from entrance music to checking equipment. Even announcing it. That’s different.

Back at the PI, Shevchenko is getting a massage. She talks movies with the physical therapist. They prefer movies from the 90’s. Volkanovski does some media, and discusses how COVID got him pretty good and he was wrecked that the fight had to be delayed. His coaches make fun of his shirt.

Over in Cali, Ortega’s brother is hitting pads while Brian is looking at something on his phone with Tracy Cortez. Rener Gracie is there. Ortega has a solid team, that loves and supports him.

And that’s it! UFC 266 goes down this Saturday night in Sin City.
