Reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya got to watch teammates Dan Hooker and Alexander Volkanovski pick up victories at the UFC 266 pay-per-view (PPV) event last Sat. night (Sept. 25, 2021) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and if you know anything about gym culture, you’ll understand that watching your team is like watching your family.

And Volkanovski’s chaotic main event was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for “The Last Stylebender,” which included a crazy ending to round three, as well of a couple of submission attempts from “T-City” that likely would have sank anyone outside of the “Great” featherweight champion (watch the highlights here).

Even Ortega’s coach was impressed.

Adesanya, who is threatening to leave New Zealand over COVID mistreatment, will hopefully make his return to the cage in the UFC 270 pay-per-view (PPV) main event on Jan. 22 in Las Vegas, where longtime rival and ex-middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will be waiting.

Stay tuned.
