UFC 266 caused a pretty big shakeup in the official rankings.
UFC 266 was a heck of an event. No belts changed hands in the top two title fights, but Alexander Volkanovski and Valentina Shevchenko cemented their positions at the top of their respective weight classes. The biggest rankings movers of the week came from the prelims though, with Mareb Dvalishvili and Dan Hooker improving their spots with great wins.
Oh, and there’s a new number one men’s pound-for-pound too.
Here’s a look at all the changes this week.
Men’s P4P – Kamaru Usman is the new number one, with Jon Jones dropping to two. Volkanovski is up one to three, dropping his teammate Israel Adesanya to four.
Heavyweight – Chris Daukaus rises three spots to seven following his TKO win over Shamil Abdurakhimov, who drops one to eight. Marcin Tybura and and Augusto Sakai fell one spot each to nine and ten.
Light Heavyweight – No changes.
Middleweight – No changes.
Welterweight – No changes.
Lightweight – Hooker is up two entire a tie for six. Rafael dos Anjos is down one to eight.
Featherweight – No changes.
Bantamweight – Dvalishvili is up five big spots to take over the six spot. Moraes dropped four slots to ten. Dominick Cruz is down one to 11.
Flyweight – No changes.
Women’s P4P – Jessica Andrade and Joanna Jedrzejczyk flip-flopped the five and six spots. Yan Xiaonan and Julianna Pena are up one each to 13 and 15, as Lauren Murphy dropped two to 15 following title shot loss to Valentina Shevchenko.
Women’s Bantamweight – No changes.
Women’s Flyweight – Taila Santos is up three to enter the top ten at nine. Roxy Modafferi is down two to 11. Andrea Lee is down to 12.
Women’s Strawweight – No changes.
