Jake Paul reveals he made an offer to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Jake Paul is reportedly in talks to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. but it would have to be a ‘real pro fight’ and not an exhibition like Floyd’s last bout against Logan Paul.
Paul, who is coming off a split decision victory over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, revealed to talkSPORT that he recently messaged 50-0 Mayweather with a genuine offer.
“I don’t do exhibitions, I told Floyd, I actually messaged him and I said ‘Yo, if you want to do a real pro fight at a weight class, then let’s do it,” the 24-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer said. “But I think he’s going to retire and that’s probably what’s best for him because my brother is a great fighter, but I’m just built different.”
Paul is clearly oozing with confidence as the 4-0 boxer thinks he would be the first fighter to finish Floyd in the boxing ring.
“I would have to take Floyd out and that wouldn’t be good for him,” the brash social media star said.
Mayweather last fought in June 2021 when he fought Jake’s older brother Logan in a No Decision (ND) contest at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. He is currently retired as a professional fighter.
