The latest UFC Vegas event, like most of them, didn’t do much to the official rankings.
UFC Vegas 39 was like a lot of Apex cards of late – many fights fell off at the last minute, leaving just nine bouts left on the card. And the only ranked fighters at all on the card came in the headliner and the flyweight fight between Matteus Nicolau and Tim Elliott.
Obviously this isn’t going to cause the rankings to go crazy. But Marina Rodriguez’s hard-fought win over Mackenzie Dern pushed her into the highest echelon in the strawweight division, while Nicolau did a lot for his standing with a solid win.
Here’s a look at the few changes this week.
Men’s P4P – No changes.
Heavyweight – Serghei Spivac and Sergei Pavlovich flip-flop the 14 and 15 spots.
Light Heavyweight – No changes.
Middleweight – No changes.
Welterweight – No changes.
Lightweight – No changes.
Featherweight – No changes.
Bantamweight – No changes.
Flyweight – Nicolau rises three spots to eight. Matt Schnell falls one to nine. Elliott drops two spots, out of the top ten, to 11.

Women’s Flyweight – No changes.
Women’s Strawweight – Rodriguez rises two spots to four, flipping with Dern, who dropped two to six. Xiaonan also fell one to five.
