Former Strikeforce headliner Gina Carano, once known as “the face of women’s MMA,” returns to the silver screen for “Terror on the Prairie” opposite UFC veteran Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, along with Nick Searcy (Justified) and Samaire Armstrong (The O.C.), among others.
The project is directed by Michael Polish (Northfork, Force Of Nature).
Terror on the Prairie “centers on a pioneer family living on the Great Plains of Montana who must fight for their lives against a gang of vicious outlaws,” according to The Daily Wire, the media conglomerate that scooped up “Conviction” after she was booted from The Mandalorian.
Carano’s previously announced project, White Knuckle, has been delayed until spring 2022 in light of the “looming threat of federal vaccine mandates.”
“With the precariousness of the current Hollywood landscape and the remarkable overreach by its ruling class, we made the tough, but prudent choice to ride further out into the wild west to make movies on our own terms,” producer Dallas Sonnier said. “The Daily Wire has given Gina and our team all the support any producers could ask for. Now, we must go make them proud by producing something that is truly great.”
Fortunately for them, the bar has been set fairly low.
