Check out the fifth episode of Embedded for UFC 268.
UFC 268 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s huge show in NYC, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Michael Chandler is asked how he feels. He puts on a nice face but he’s not liking the weight cut. Its all a part of the process, according to him.
Frankie Edgar calls MSG a home game. He needs to stop Marlon Vera’s rise in the division. His coach says Edgar was one of the guys that advocated for MMA to be legal in NY, so it’s pretty cool.
Trevor Wittman is back from training with Kamaru Usman and Justin Gaethje, and now she’s working with Rose Namajunas in her room. She needs to think through things instead of going full bore.
In Colby Covington’s room, he’s getting a haircut. He’ll see Usman for the first time today. He wants to calm down a bit, but the killer will be out Saturday night.
Back to Chandler, who says nothing changes for the fight going on first on the PPV. He just checks in an hour earlier, that’s all. He thinks it’s a great idea for the most exciting fight to go first.
Press conference time. Colby says Usman has been dodging him. He doesn’t live in the past. Usman says he broke his jaw. Colby is trying to chirp. Usman says he’s in his head. Gaethje says Chandler will turn into a wrestler real quick. Weili loves NYC, and says it’s very inclusive and multicultural. She thinks Colby is very handsome, lol. And Chandler too. Namajuna simply says “I’m the champion. I’m the best.”
Face-offs. Usman pushes Colby. Nothing else happens.
And that’s it! UFC 268 goes down tomorrow night in MSG.
