A contest originally expected to take place on the prelims of July’s
“Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson” event will now be featured on the
main card of August’s “Strikeforce Challengers 18: Gurgel vs. Duarte” event.
Strikeforce officials on Sunday announced the bout in question, a 145-pound
female fight between Ronda Rousey and Sarah D’Alelio, has found a new home.
Featuring a men’s lightweight contest between Jorge Gurgel and Joe
Duarte, Strikeforce Challengers 18 takes place at The Pearl at the Palms
Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
