Planned DREAM light heavyweight tournament called off for May 29

A planned eight-man light heavyweight tournament at DREAM.14 on May 29
has been canceled.

Josh Gross of SI.com first broke the news of the change, and
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) subsequently confirmed it with a
source close to one of the fighters expected to compete in the
tournament.

The source said the Japanese promotion’s television partner, Tokyo
Broadcasting System, did not show interest in the tournament and nixed
the idea of airing it May 29. It is unknown whether the promotion will
attempt to reschedule the contest.
