The 2005 PRIDE 205-pound grand prix winner brought to the octagon a remarkable 16-2 professional record, a top world ranking, and expectations he’d quickly contend for a title.

But injuries, a loss to Forrest Griffin, and an uninspired win over Mark Coleman followed. However, as “Shogun” prepares for next weekend’s UFC 113 main event and a second title shot, he said he’s feeling as comfortable as ever in the UFC.
