On Monday, September 12, the Ohio Athletic Commission issued medical suspensions to five fighters who participated in this past Saturday’s Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov event.
All suspended fighters received their sentence after suffering either a knockout, or technical knockout loss.
Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov took place on September 10 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio with the main card airing on Showtime, while the prelim card was shown live on HDNet.
Main card fighters Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and Roger Gracie earned the longest suspensions after suffering first round knockouts. Both will have to sit for a mandatory 60-days.
