With the summer just around the corner, it’s a great time to get yourself a little spending money, and MMAbettingblog.com is here to help you do just that!  Thanks to online wagering sites and our detailed fight analysis, we can help you put a little extra money in your pockets or at least help you make back the money you spent on the pay per view.

UFC 113 is just a few days away, and like all UFC shows, a lot of potential exists to turn a profit, as long as you know which fights to look for.  A great place to start is the main event, where Shogun Rua will take his second crack at champion Lyoto Machida.  Shogun seemed to overwhelm Machida for much of their first fight, despite the questionable decision loss.  Shogun is an underdog this time around too, so a little wager on him is definitely not a bad idea, considering how well he performed in their first fight.

Favorite Picks:

Of course, some people just like to bet to add some excitement to the fights.  For those people, a small bet on a prohibitive favorite is the best bet, and for that I would recommend Josh Koscheck, who should be able to convincingly out wrestle Paul Daley without much difficulty. Sam Stout looked great in his last fight against Joe Lauzon and will continue his win streak with a hard fought unanimous win over Stephens.  Marcus Davis has taken back to back loses and will not lose a third, Goulet last fought in December of 2008 losing to Mike Swick in 33 seconds.  I have Davis winning via second round T/KO.

Sportsbook.com Odds

  • Josh Koscheck @ -240
  • Sam Stout @ -200
  • Marcus Davis @ -500
  • Johny Hendricks @ -500

Underdog picks:

I see Shogun Rua taking the rematch and becoming the new UFC LHW champ.  @ +150 you should defenitely put down a bet on Rua.  Also tough Canadian Patrick Cote  @+105 is an underdog to opponent Alan Belcher.  Both guys have great skill sets, but I think Cote is a great, experienced underdog pick who has what it takes to control Belcher.  Even more attractive is the Joe Doerkson @+400 versus Tom Lawlor bout, where wily veteran Doerkson is a massive underdog to the relatively green Lawlor.  Lawlor is a dangerous, athletic fighter, but experience counts for a lot in this sport, and at odds around +400, Doerkson is a must-pick underdog.

Sportsbook.com Odds

  • Mauricio Rua @ +150
  • Patrick Cote @ +105
  • Joe Doerksen @ +400

One of the best ways to turn a profit is with parlay betting.  If you’re looking for a huge payout, try Doerkson and Cote together.  If you’re looking for something a little safer, take some heavy favorites like Marcus Davis, Yoshiyuki Yoshida, or Josh Koscheck.  Maybe consider adding Shogun in there to spice up the profits.
