MMAjunkie.com first reported the bout earlier this week following the signing of Barao, who counts WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo among his top training partners.
WEC 49 takes place June 20 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The main card, including a headliner of former lightweight champion Jamie Varner vs fast-rising prospect Kamal Shalorus, airs on Versus.
