As “Big” Dan Mirgliotta was standing in the circle with both fighters on each side of him after Round 3 had concluded. Paul Daley threw his patented left hook at Josh Koscheck. Mirgliotta immediately jumped in and threw Daley against the cage.
Koscheck won all 3 rounds with take downs and basically laying and praying. A strategy I thought he would imply. It was the smart strategy.
In the last round with Koscheck in half guard, you could see Koscheck talking in Daley’s ear for the last minute.
Daley didn’t like the comments that Koscheck had for him.
Dana White says, “Paul Daley will never fight in the UFC again. He might as well get another job.”
White said, “I didn’t like his answer for why he did that either.” Daley’s reason for the late punch said via White was, “I didn’t hear the bell.”
