UFC 113’s Jason MacDonald slated for surgery after suffering multiple fractures

MONTREAL – Popular Canadian middleweight Jason MacDonald’s UFC 113
injuries will require surgery according to “The Athlete.”

In the first fight of Saturday’s UFC 113 event in Montreal, MacDonald’s
left leg buckled underneath his as he fell to the floor during his bout
with John Salter, and the contest was quickly halted less than three
minutes after it began.

Fighting in the UFC for the first time since UFC 97 in April 2009,
MacDonald will now be forced to the sidelines after suffering multiple
fractures to his leg in addition to a dislocated ankle.
