Taylor is set to move up a weight class to take on another undefeated champion: WBC, WBA, WBO, IBO, IBF and The Ring female Light Welterweight (a.k.a. Super Lightweight) titleholder, Chantelle Cameron (17-0).
Yes, you read that alphabet soup correctly — it’s every major belt in those two divisions and it is one of the rare “super” fights to hit women’s boxing. Just peep all the gold and leather and frills in this picture:

It will be an enormous fight for both women, but especially for Taylor, considered one of the pound-for-pound best in boxing, who will be giving up height, reach and moving up a weight class to take on a champion four years her junior.

Round 1: Both women are in black and gold, Taylor in mostly black, Cameron with the wide gold trim. Cameron moving forward to start, hitting the body. Taylor gets in a left to the dome. Taylor with a 1-2. Cameron with a jab. Cameron moving forward, backs Taylor into a corner and starts to flurry. She gets one clean to the ribs, Taylor lands a right.

Round 2: Cameron marching forward again, Taylor ducks a left. Taylor lands a left. Cameron to the body. Nice right hand lands for Taylor. Cameron blasts to the body. Lefts by both women. Right by Taylor.

Round 3: Good left from Taylor. One by Cameron. Taylor with a snapping jab and the crowd roars. Cameron head, body, head. Taylor with straight punches. Cameron lands a jab, Taylor fires back a combination, but it’s mostly blocked.

Round 4: Cameron with a left to the body and a right upstairs. Taylor gets in a jab. Right hand, too. Counter-right. Cameron cracks in a right of her own. There’s two more right hands from the Brit. Cameron tries a big right hand, and is met by a left before hers could get to the target. Mirror jabs.

Round 5: Cameron hits a lunging left. Taylor with a combination, then a left hook as she circled out. Cameron cracks to the body. Taylor hits a right. Cameron pounding to the body, both women land upstairs. Cameron hits a 1, misses the 2. Taylor tries a big right, but eats the shorter punch first.
10-9 Cameron, 49-46 Cameron
Round 6: Jab from Taylor. Cameron cracks a right, and Taylor answers with a left. Cameron with 3, no 4 body shots. They’re both landing, Cameron’s seems cleaner, but Cameron now has a cut. There’s a nice combo by Taylor and one back from Cameron. Both women are alternating combos as they stand right up against each other.

Round 7: Cameron misses a jab, jab, uppercut combo attempt. Taylor eats a good right and a left. Taylor lands two lefts. There’s one to the body. Cameron with a good rib roaster. Taylor with a right and a short combo. Warning from the ref for something. There’s a left by Taylor.

Round 8: Right hand by Cameron to open up the action in round 8. Clinch and an uppercut by Cameron. Taylor counters a right hand in to Cameron’s cheek. Short right by Cameron in a clinch. Left and a right a few seconds later by Taylor. Uppercut by Cameron and a left. Flurry to the gut from Cameron. 3-2 from Taylor. Great work from both at the end.
10-9 Taylor, 77-75 Cameron
Round 9: Taylor hits a jab. Lefts by both women. Cameron with a right. Great pair of rights in the clinch from Cameron. Left from Taylor and the response is another right hand by Cameron. Taylor with a nice counter left, but Cameron still bullies her to the ropes and is unloading. Taylor gets out and now she flurries with hooks. Nice left by Cameron and one from Taylor.
10-9 Cameron, 87-84 Cameron
Round 10: Taylor is tired of backing and circling and is willing to meet Cameron toe-to-toe in the center now. Good flurry by Taylor. She’s more aggressive now and getting some dividends out of it. Good left lands for Cameron. Good combinations by both, Taylor’s looked cleaner. Cameron hammers to the body. Rights by both women connect. Phone booth fighting here as they come together and slug it out.

135 lbs. Gary Cully vs. Jose Felix Jr.
Round 1: Mexican Felix in blue, hometown Irish Cully in pink and purple. Felix is at an enormous height and reach disadvantage here. Going to be interesting to see if he’s able to close the range, especially with him starting off on the back foot and looking to counter. Cully keeping his jab out there, and avoiding the shorter punches of Felix. Cully feints twice and hits a left. Very slow round.
10-9 Cully
Round 2: Felix gets in his first solid punch of the night with a nice counter left hook. Cully lands a left of his own. Felix with a shot to the body. Now both men hit to the body. Felix gets a clinch and sneaks in a right hand. Cully connects on a pair of lefts. Another connection on a left.
10-9 Felix, 19-19
Round 3: Cully with a short left. There’s a jab, too. Felix connects on a huge right hand and Cully is down with two minutes to go in the round. Cully trying to hold on! He takes a knee again! That’s two knockdowns. Felix swarming! Cully looks a little better, but his legs are still unsteady. Big counter left and Cully is wobbled badly! There’s two big right hands and the ref is giving Cully way too many chances here. Felix trying desperately to end it, there comes the towel! The ref doesn’t see it and Felix keeps swinging! Finally, the ref saves Cully from further punishment and it’s over.
Final result: Jose Felix Jr. defeats Gary Cully via TKO at 2:34 of the third round — WATCH HIGHLIGHTS!
154 lbs. Dennis Hogan vs. James Metcalf for the IBO World Super-Welterweight title
Round 1: Australian Metcalf in green, home-country Hogan in white. Metcalf on the front foot this first minute, mostly jabbing, while Hogan circles away from the power right hand. Left by Hogan and a counter from Metcalf. Hogan glances in an overhand right. Jabs to the body.
10-9 Hogan
Round 2: Metcalf unable to find his range so far – pressuring, does get in a right-left. Hogan connects with a straight left. Metcalf wings an overhand right, but Hogan rolls with it, so there’s no sting on the punch. Body lefts by both men. Nice counter jab from Hogan as Metcalf was coming forward.
10-9 Hogan, but an extremely close round. 20-18 Hogan
Round 3: Clinch and a ref break. Metcalf backs up Hogan to the ropes and gets in a couple of nice lefts. First really solid punches landed this fight. Hogan hits a jab to the gut again. Right hand by Hogan and an equal response by Metcalf. Hogan eats one to the body.
10-9 Metcalf, 29-28 Hogan
Round 4: Jab by Metcalf, right hand by Hogan. Hogan connects on a jab, gets hit by a pretty solid right hand a few seconds later. Lot of clinching by Hogan whenever Metcalf closes the range.
10-9 Metcalf, 38-38
Round 5: Metcalf with a leaping left, but Hogan put in one of his own at the same time, too. Hogan counters in a nice left. Metcalf tenacious with walking forward, gets double-jabbed in the nose. Metcalf goes body-head, but not solid.
10-9 Hogan, 48-47 Hogan
Round 6: Left by Hogan off a break. Left-right to the body by Metcalf. Both men connect with rights. Right hand by Hogan and he somehow loses his mouthpiece. He wants it back, but the ref is letting them fight on a little. He warns Hogan when he pauses it. We’ve got a cut on Hogan by an accidental headbutt. Ref acknowledges it. Lefts by both men, Metcalf’s was stronger it looked like.
10-9 Metcalf, 57-57
Round 7: The cut doesn’t appear to be in a particularly bad spot, as it’s on the outside of the right orbital of Hogan. Metcalf opens up with a right hand. Hogan cracks in a counter left a few seconds later. Good left-right by Metcalf. Hogan with a left to the body. Metcalf continuing to come forward, trying to bully Hogan. Hogan stops Metcalf in his tracks for a moment with a combo, but he’s back to pressuring after a few moments. They clinch and dirty box. Hogan with a nice jab.
10-9 Metcalf, 67-66 Metcalf
Round 8: Hogan connects a right, circles away from the advance. Both men with rights. Metcalf gets a warning for back of the head. Metcalf to the body with his right. Hogan hooks in one to the cheek. Hogan tries to lunge forward, misses with most of it, and eats one as he turned back around to face Metcalf. Nice counter by Hogan. Metcalf eludes, hits to the chest.
10-9 Hogan, 76-76
Round 9: Hogan with a jab. Metcalf winging power punches, but missing most. Metcalf wraps a hand around Hogan and tackles him to the canvas. No harm, no foul. Metcalf gets in a nice left uppercut in a clinch. Hogan with a nice right hand, but Metcalf wears it well.
10-9 Hogan, 86-85 Hogan
Round 10: Jab by Hogan is answered with a counter left from Metcalf. Metcalf misses a jab, eats one. The same sequence replicates itself. Metcalf lands a left, eats a flush right. Metcalf cracks in a right. Not much clean landing now. Ref warning Hogan about holding on.
10-9 Hogan, 96-94 Hogan
Round 11: Hogan with a right. Another. There’s a jab, too. Metcalf jabs to the body and evades a third right. Metcalf walks forward into a right hand. There’s another. It’s landing repeatedly. There goes Hogan’s mouthpiece again for whatever reason – didn’t look like a punch. Ref doesn’t take a point, however. That right is a money punch for Hogan this round. He’s landed it at least six times. Metcalf responds to the body. Mouthpiece is out from Hogan AGAIN, but the round is almost over, so the ref lets it continue.
10-9 Hogan, 106-103 Hogan
Round 12: Metcalf again walks onto a right, but this time lands a left at least. Metcalf with some dirty boxing, including a nice right. Lefts from both. Double jab by Hogan. They’re toe-to-toe, slugging to the body inside a phone booth and Hogan loses his mouthpiece yet again and finally, the ref takes a point. Metcalf with a jab. Hogan connects a right. Hogan with another.
10-8 Metcalf, 114-113 Hogan
Final result: James Metcalf defeats Dennis Hogan 117-110, 117-110, 115-112
