Low blow to the baby Chris’ and we’re in a timeout. Weidman is back and ready to go and half the round is over. Tavares with a strong low kick. Another. Lefts by both men and followed by another pair of low kicks by the Hawaiian. Weidman lands a left and a body kick. Weidman tries an ankle pick, doesn’t get it. Tavares closes the round with a short flurry, looks like he landed an uppercut in it.

185 lbs.: Gregory Rodrigues vs. Denis Tiuliulin

Round one: Tiuliulin in black, Rodrigues in yellow. Tiuliulin throws a combo, misses. Rodrigues misses one of his own. Rodrigues with a takedown about a minute in. Tiuliulin in full guard. Rodrigues postures and uses it to pass to the side. He mounts. Tiuliulin rolls to his side a bit and gets blasted by a huge elbow. A punch that looks like it might have hit the back of the head, but then another elbow and a third and the ref steps in to end it.

Booth thinks that elbow was to the back of the head, but that sure looked on the side to me, even in slo-mo replay.

Final result: Gregory Rodrigues def. Denis Tiuliulin via knockout, elbows, Rd. 1

155 lbs.: Kurt Holobaugh vs. Austin Hubbard

Gibson is holding his eye and backing off. Finally Gibson regains his wits and lands an uppercut. Big right hands by both men. If this isn’t fight of the night, then something batshit has to go down later. Uppercuts in the clinch by Katona. Gibson looks like he’s tired as hell and tries for a takedown. Last minute for Katona might have won him the round on some of the judges scorecards.

10-9 Katona

Final result: Brad Katona def. Cody Gibson via unanimous decision

185 lbs.: Gerald Meerschaert vs. Andre Petroski

Round one: Meerschaert in black, Petroski in gray. Petro misses a big left, throws into the arms and shoulders of “GM3” as they get into a clinch. Meerschaert gets in a counter-left. Petroski misses with a few big misses. Andre with a left and a right that gets in. They trade low kicks. Petroski complains of an eye poke and we’re in time-out. Petro with a takedown on a single, Meerschaert counters with a reverse triangle attempt to end the round.

10-9 Meerschaert

Round two: Leg kick by Petro. Also a takedown attempt, but he started that from way too far and GM3 got his legs out of harm’s way. Petroski repeats that sequence, but with a bit better takedown attempt, even though it wasn’t successful, either. Meerschaert catches a kick and nearly dumps Petroski, but he’s saved by the cage and he’s back on both feet. Overhand right by Petroski and there’s a hook, too. Meerschaert lands in a left, glances in a head kick. Petroski with a very good level change, but Meerschaert shows off great defense to stay on his feet. Petro goes left to the body and then upstairs. Petroski finally checks a kick. Big hook by Petroski drops Meerschaert. Petro is trying to swarm, but Meerschaert’s defense is good and he scrambles out of danger.

10-9 Petroski

Round three: My stream blinked for the first 30 seconds of the round, but we come back and Meerschaert is looming over Petroski, before flowing down into the guard of Petro, who immediately tries for a triangle, before abandoning it. Meerschaert on top in full guard, not doing much. Now he gets in some elbows. Petroski tries to kick him away, scrambles, rolls… he’s up. Petro with a good sized cut under his eye. Meerschaert lands a pair of left hands. Petroski swings big, gets one of them in. Petroski misses a big left, Meerschaert lands a short one. Petroski gets a takedown and assumes top control after a brief guillotine attempt by GM3. He’s in half guard. Lee also looks like she’s got a cut on her cheek or maybe from her hand as she keeps her hand up high. Silva punctuates a combo with a body kick.

10-9 Silva

Round two: Booth correctly notes that Lee is losing this technical striking battle, but she’s not really changing the dynamic. Lee finally gets in a decent front kick. 1-2-head kick by Silva, but only the 1 looked like it connected. There’s a 1-1-2 and the 2 definitely landed clean. Lee with a body kick. Silva with a counter-jab. Low kick, and Lee responds with one of her own. Silva goes to the body on a counter.

10-9 Silva

Round three: Silva taps in a head kick at half power. Low kick. Side kick. She gets on her bike as Lee finally takes a step forward. Lee gets in a nice low kick. Good push kick puts an off-balance Lee on her butt, however she’s back up instantly. Both women get in left hands. Silva 2-3. One minute to go. Lee’s inability to deal with the constant popping strikes and feints has made this a fairly easy night for Silva.

10-9 Silva

Final result: Natalia Silva def. Andrea Lee via unanimous decision

125 lbs.: Maryna Moroz vs. Karine Silva

Round one: Silva in black, Moroz in white. Silva missing some leg kicks to start. Both women finally get into range and land a couple.
