Mike Perry didn’t just beat Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 56 in Utah, he fractured his opponent’s eye socket.
Eddie Alvarez is one tough man.
After losing his Bare Knuckle FC fight to Mike Perry on Saturday night, “The Underground King” still showed up for the post-fight press conference. This is despite the bout being stopped due to a suspected broken orbital bone that had swelled Alvarez’s eye up badly.
And now we know for sure that Eddie was sitting around talking to the press with a badly broken eye socket.
Confirmed 2 fractures in my left orbital , one was e refracture … Woulda been a thing of beauty to close out to the show for the fans , I felt great … this game is Wild and unpredictable as can be … it’s why I love it The Show goes on ! Love you guys ??

“Confirmed 2 fractures in my left orbital, one was a re-fracture,” Alvarez tweeted. “Woulda been a thing of beauty to close out to the show for the fans , I felt great … this game is Wild and unpredictable as can be … it’s why I love it! The Show goes on! Love you guys.”
Soon after he added a message to Perry.
“Just watched this Fight!” he wrote. “Platinum Perry Lucky you broke my face cause I was carving your big ass Up. Until we meet again. Solid Rumble my man. Platinum 1 UGK 0.”
Alvarez is 1-1 in BKFC, having beat Chad Mendes in his bare knuckle debut. His move up from lightweight to welterweight against Perry didn’t go his way, but he’s clearly very willing to run things back once he’s healed.

Asked at the post-fight press conference if a rematch in Philadelphia would interest him, he enthusiastically said yes.
“Oh man, that’d be a beautiful motherf—ing thing, I’ll tell you that,” Alvarez said. “Hey, one more time, Mikey, please. Give it to me. You come to north Philly. You do me that favor, big dog.”
Alas, Perry is already looking forward to fighting another UFC champion (he’s beaten two thus far in BKFC). He’s called out Anthony Pettis and Jorge Masvidal, leaving Alvarez out of the loop without another solid win under his belt.
