EA Sports delivered a much-needed overhaul to the UFC 5 video game on Thursday, buttoning up several gameplay issues across the board while also adding once-beaten flyweight phenom Amir Albazi and No. 2-ranked strawweight contender Yan Xiaonan to the digital roster.

Gamers were not impressed by the “laughable” update.

That’s because UFC 5 is still missing a considerable number of top names and fan favorites. EA Sports is promising to add Ian Machado Garry, Mike Malott, Charles Jourdain, Mayra Bueno Silva and Jailton Almeida in January, with Bryce Mitchell, Maycee Barber and Joe Pyfer joining the lineup in February.

The patch notes from this week’s update include multiple camera issues, with additional attention being given to animation errors and faulty AI. Online adjustments were also made to Career Mode and Rankings, as well as menu adjustments and crash repairs. Expect more fine-tuning in the coming weeks.

If fans are willing to wait that long.

“We are continually striving to improve UFC 5 based on your feedback and are committed to providing you with future updates and transparency when it comes to those updates through these blogs,” EA Sports wrote in today’s release. “Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback and please stay tuned, there’s much more on the way.”
