Donald Trump is expected to be “front row” at UFC 296.
Unfortunately for event headliner Colby Covington and all six of his loyal fans, the former U.S. President will not be permitted to walk “Chaos” to the Octagon for his welterweight title fight against Leon Edwards on Sat. night (Dec. 16) in Las Vegas.
“It’s a shame, I know Dana White is not gonna allow me walk out with him, because I asked for it and Donald Trump was willing to walk out with me, but it just would be too much of a logistical concern, too much mayhem, because everybody loves him,” Covington told Sporting News. “He’s the greatest President of all time. He literally made America great again.”
Covington incorporated Trump and the MAGA shtick into his revamped (and somewhat boorish) gimmick back in early 2018, a cringeworthy — but nevertheless successful — attempt to grab headlines and make a name for himself at 170 pounds.
“This is my authentic self. I’m just not afraid to speak up and speak fast. I talk the talk, and I walk the walk,” Covington said. “Leon’s a little mumble mouth. He’s a low-IQ little f—— idiot. I’d love for the media to go ask Leon what’s his level of education. Did he even get through elementary school? That mumbling, fumbling idiot who’s always drooling on himself, honestly, I don’t think he got through elementary school.”
