After seemingly getting his fill of former basketball players, converted mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters and fellow influencers, Jake Paul looks to take out an actual professional boxer this Friday (Dec. 15, 2023) when he meets 11-fight veteran, Andre August, inside Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.
The DAZN-streamed show also sees Shadasia Green — one of women’s boxing’s most fearsome knockout artists — face former undisputed Super Middleweight champion, Franchon Crews-Dezurn, for WBC’s vacant title.
Viewers are here for the sideshow and not the hardware, though, so let’s check out what our friends at DraftKings cooked up for the Paul Experiment’s latest saga:

Thoughts: Here’s the thing: nobody outside of the Texas club scene and maybe the guys who run BoxRec knew who Andre August was before this got announced. Paul and his team hand-picked him for a reason, and I can say with fairly high confidence after watching August’s tape that it wasn’t because he stands a chance.
Paul’s career remained plenty salvageable after his loss to Tommy Fury. I can’t say the same about a loss to August.
This is a convoluted way of saying Paul moneyline is still a bargain at -650. August is too small, too slow and too feather-fisted to pose any sort of real threat. I would, however, go farther and say Paul by stoppage at +200 is a fair play. August is a natural 175-pounder with a 2018 knockout loss to Eric Abraham, who was 3-3 at the time and 6-17 now. He’s not hard to hit, either, considering how consistently Paul drops people, I like those odds.
At the very least, hedge your bets with Paul -650 and August to be “Knocked Down” at +100.
