Four months after successfully defeating Nate Diaz, Jake Paul (7-1) turns his attention to an actual professional boxer later this evening (Fri., Dec. 15, 2023) when he battles Andre August (10-1) inside Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

The co-feature also serves as the night’s lone title bout, pitting knockout machine, Shadasia Green, against former undisputed champion, Franchon Crews-Dezurn, for WBC’s Super Middleweight belt. Before that, top prospect, Yoenis Tellez, looks to build off of his breakout knockout of Sergio Garcia at Livan Navarro’s express, while unbeaten Heavyweight, Lorenzo Medina, opens the show against Joshua Temple.

Super Welterweight: Yoenis Tellez vs. Livan Navarro
Round one: Navarro on the front foot early, sending out volleys. Right hands downstairs. 1-2 whiffs. 1-1-2 downstairs, right hook whiffs. Tellez sticking with body jabs so far. Navarro continuing to send out volume. Nice jab and 1-1-2 from Tellez, who backs away from a blitz. Low-high goes Navarro. Body shot amid some whiffs. Good little flurry in center ring. They trade body shots against the ropes. Tellez very patient so far as Navarro sends out volume. Left hook exchange. Tellez jabs the body, then the head. 10-9 Navarro.
Round two: They trade in the center for a bit before Navarro bullies Tellez into the corner and spends a decent stretch just standing there and firing volleys. Tellez exits, absorbs some volume, then looks to turn it up a minute in with combinations. Body shot exchange. Combos from Navarro off the back foot. Low-high left hooks. Tellez pops him with a jab, digs to the body as he pushes forward. Navarro volley bounces off the guard. Nice left to the body visibly hurts Navarro, who comes back with his own but eats a solid right. Tellez stalks him and puts together quality combos until the bell. 10-9 Tellez, 19-19.
Round three: Tellez continuing to stalk. Navarro still sending out plenty of volume of his own, though Tellez has more venom in his shots. 1-2 from Tellez against the ropes. Good exchange near the ropes and Tellez lands a bomb of a right hand that stumbles Navarro. Tellez swarms and smashes him to the mat, where he appears to land at least one to a downed opponent. Navarro beats the count, but Tellez jumps on him and they slug it out until the bell, with Tellez rocking him one more time at the buzzer. 10-8, 29-27 Tellez.
Round four: Navarro looks like he has his wits back, circling and potshotting. Solid uppercut lands for him. 1-2 from Tellez, body shots against the ropes. Clinch. Navarro outworking him this round, surprisingly enough. Solid shots from Tellez with his back against the ropes. 10-9 Navarro, 38-37 Tellez.
Round five: Tellez stalking, Navarro throwing combos off his back foot. Not a whole lot coming from Tellez at the moment, though Navarro isn’t landing many clean blows. Long right from Tellez falls short, combo from Navarro in return halfway through. Nice overhand right by Tellez, then a pull counter that just misses. 1-2 from Navarro splits the guard. Round six: The current situation is that Navarro doesn’t hit hard enough to ding Tellez, but Tellez is more than happy to bide his time and land just enough, leading to a weird situation where a lot and very little are happening at the same time. 1-2 to the body from Tellez. Stalking halfway through. Chopping right lands for Tellez, nice jab. Combinations from Navarro in center ring. Tellez 1-2. Round seven: Tellez patiently picking his shots, Navarro offering the occasional flurry that doesn’t put a dent in him. Clinch. Halfway through. Navarro outworking him so far this round. Heavy body shot from Tellez and they slug near the ropes. Chopping right stings Navarro, who absorbs a follow-up combo but answers with volume. Clinch. Right cross by Tellez on the exit. Tellez digs a left to the body, the ref separates the clinch, and Tellez uncorks an absolute beauty of a left hook that lands as perfectly as any punch you’ll ever see. Navarro goes down like a felled tree and Tellez has submitted a last-minute Knockout of the Year candidate.

Heavyweight: Lorenzo Medina vs. Joshua Temple
Round one: Temple plodding forward, Medina keeping his lead hand low. Neither man committing to anything early on. Check hook by Medina as Temple tries to punch his way inside. Halfway through. Sharp right cross from Medina gets Temple’s attention. Body jab from Medina, avoids the counter right. Temple backs him up and tries to unload, but gets tied up without landing clean. There’s a long right from Temple in the last 10 seconds, his first clean connection. 10-9 Medina.
Round two: Temple looks for a combo to start. Clean straight right lands for him, and Medina stumbles as he retreats, falling to the mat for a knockdown. Medina comes back with a heavy left hook that Temple meets with a lancing cross. They tie up and Medina frames with his forearm until the ref breaks them up. Halfway through. Medina follows with a pull counter right and starts showboating. Jab exchange, left hook from Medina. Medina whiffs a jab and ties up. 10-8, 19-18 Temple.
Round three: Replay shows that Temple stepped on Medina’s foot to cause the knockdown, but what’s done is done. Temple dings him with a left hook and Medina mouths off in response. Both whiff on big hooks. Medina rushes into the clinch, snakes his way behind Temple, and lets loose a combo from behind that earns him a warning. Temple slips on a lunging right halfway through.
