Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

UFC is planning something “insane” for UFC 300, which is scheduled to take place Sat., April 13, 2024 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moments ago, UFC CEO Dana White revealed the first of the planned fights for UFC 300, as well as a bevy of other high-profile bookings.

Let’s start with UFC 300, which will see former Light Heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka return to action against top contender Alexander Rakic, former Bantamweight kingpin Aljamain Sterling will make his Featherweight debut in a three-round battle versus Calvin Kattar, and blue chip prospect Bo Nickal will attempt to continue his rise against Cody Brundage.

Give how stacked UFC 300 is expected to be, it’s too early to say which — if any — of those fights will take place on the pay-per-view portion.

In addition, White announced several other high-profile bouts. At UFC 298 in Anaheim, Robert Whittaker vs. Paulo Costa has been made official after previous discussion. Also, the previously announced bout between Ian Garry and Geoff Neal has been moved from UFC 299 to the UFC 298 card.

UFC will head to Mexico City, Mexico on Feb. 24, 2024. Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi is expected to be the main event, but that Flyweight tilt will now be joined by a second five-round battle, pitting Featherweight veterans Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez against one another once more after their first contest was interrupted by an early “T-City” injury.

Finally, UFC Atlantic City — scheduled for March 30 — has a main event. Streaking women’s Flyweight contenders Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot will put their impressive win streaks on the line opposite one another, and most likely, one woman will leave the cage having fully secured a UFC title shot.

Got all that?!? 2024 is starting to shape up!

Insomnia

Anyone spot an injury? Sure looks like a standard 30 seconds to me unless Colby hurt himself on one of those kicks.

The end of an era! Being serious, Parker Porter is not a great athlete yet managed to score four UFC wins — good for him.

Alexa, play “Hotel California.”

Leon Edwards continues last night’s conversation …

Alex Pereira posted some vague math on his Instagram story, and fans are doing their best to interpret.

Fans online are pointing out that Leon Edwards’ and Darren Till’s careers have gone in very different directions since this clip …

Some wild moments in Thailand from 2023!

I wonder if MMA gloves make it easier to score no-gi Ezekiel chokes? They’re quite uncommon in regular BJJ.

Random Land

I own more than a handful and understand the concept behind how vinyl records work, but they’re still a crazy piece of equipment.
