earlier today (Sat., Dec. 23, 2023) at “Day of Reckoning” live on DAZN PPV from inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Joshua took the center of the ring right away and begin to establish his long jab. Wallin hung back and was content to look for his own lead hand shots, but the early goings were controlled by Joshua. He continued to open up, and the timing on his counter punches quickly began to improve.
By the fourth, Joshua was really opening up. Wallin couldn’t let his rear hand go, whereas Joshua was taking his right to the body, straight down the pipe, and around the guard. Several times, he pushed Wallin to the fence and then countered his attempts to fight off. Midway through the fifth, a Joshua combination concluded with a crisp left hook. Wallin’s knees left him, but the Swede managed to keep his feet as he fell towards the ropes.
There was no knockdown, but the end had arrived nevertheless, as the bout was called between rounds.

This was some excellent boxing from Anthony Joshua! He picked apart his opponent, looking very relaxed as the damage began to build on his opponent’s face. Now 3-0 since losing a pair of fights to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua can be expected to be part of some major Heavyweight match ups in 2024.
