An upcoming main card bout between Brazilian fighter Michael Costa (10-5-1) and former Bellator welterweight champ Lyman Good (11-2) has been pulled from this weekends Bellator 59 event.

Costa was forced off the card due to injury, leaving the promotion little time to find Good a new opponent. Bellator opted to simply pull Good from the card.

A lightweight bout between Marcin Held and Phillipe Nover appears set to take the Costa vs. Good bout on the main card according to Sherdog.com. The Held vs. Nover bout had been scheduled to headline the prelim matches which are set to stream live at Spike.com.

Bellator 59 takes place this Saturday, Nov. 26, at Caesars Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey and runs unopposed by other major promotions for viewership for the first time in about a month. The event is headlined by the Season Five Heavyweight and Bantamweight tournament finals. The show marks the final event of Bellator’s fifth season.

The event was to have been Costa’s Bellator debut, but the Brazilian will now have to wait to do that, most likely as part of a Season Six event. When he does finally take his next fight, Costa is 1-0-1 in his last two and is 1-2-1 in his last four.

Good was last in action in April, losing to Rick Hawn in the Season four welterweight tournament semifinals by split decision. Good had earned a unanimous decision over Chris Lozano in the season four tournament quarterfinals previously. Before that, Good was beaten by Ben Askren in October of last year, losing the Bellator welterweight title after being crowned the first champ back in June 2009.
