Welcome to the second and final night of World Wrestling Entertainment’s biggest event of the year, starring Logan Paul, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles and more!

Alright, boys, girls and everyone else, it’s time for the final half of World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) biggest annual event. That’s right, it’s night two of WrestleMania 40, headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes. It all starts TONIGHT (Sun., Apr. 7, 2024) live from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA., starting at 7 p.m. ET.

All those desiring to watch the show have two places to watch: if you’re in the United States, it’s streaming exclusively on Peacock. If you’re anywhere else on this globe, it’s on the WWE network. Night one had three championships on the line, and tonight one-ups that with a fourth strap up for grabs. We’ve got the following title-winners to be revealed tonight: the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship; the World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Women’s Championship and the United States Championship. Lots of gold and leather and all the other fun gaudiness that accompanies them. And more!

WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes

First big event is Rhodes dodging a spear and Reigns hits the ringpost. Rhodes goes and gets a table, eats a kick for his trouble. Rhodes throws Reigns into the ring steps. This is a no-DQ match, and Reigns takes advantage of it by grabbing a kendo stick and whacking Rhodes with it a half dozen times. Rhodes kicks it away from him and hits a bulldog. Rhodes figure-four leglock.

They go outside and trade blows in the crowd. Rhodes suplexes Reigns onto a table outside. They go back into the ring Reigns catches Rhodes midair into a powerbomb. Slower pace as Reigns hits big moves methodically then going for a pinfall. Perfect-plex by Reigns.

Rhodes gets some offense in with a pair of super kicks. Simultaneous clotheslines. Rhodes with a powerslam and a springboard kick. 2-count. Reigns catches Rhodes and uses his own finishing move against him. Since he doesn’t get the pin, he talks to the crowd, saying how the move sucks and can’t pin anything. Bionic elbow by Rhodes.

They go outside. Reigns with a low blow, powerbomb through a table. Reigns tosses Cody back into the ring and hits a superman punch. Rhodes kicks Reigns as he tries a spear. Springboard cutter lands, but only the 2-count. Reigns misses a rock bottom as Rhodes arm-drags his way out of it. Rhodes hits a spear, then his Crossroads.

Outside interference by Jimmy Uso (legal in the no-DQ rules). Here comes Jay Uso. He spears Jim off the ramp. Spear by Reigns but a close 2-count. Guillotine submission, Rhodes pushes them both out of the ring. Rhodes hits a spear through the barricade. Rhodes hits his triple Crossroads. More outside interference for Reigns by Solo Sikoa.

Cody eats a spear and a “Samoan Spike”, but still kicks out. Here comes John Cena to clear the ring. He hits his finisher on Reigns and another one back on Solo outside. Here comes The Rock. Rock Bottom on Cena, and here comes Seth Rollins with a chair, who gets taken out by Reigns before he can do any damage. Rock with his weightlifting belt, about to hit Rhodes when the lights go out and we get the Undertaker’s sounds. He’s in the ring behind Rock when the lights come back on and he chokeslams Rock.

After all that, we’re back to the original two along with a discarded chair and a discarded belt. The chair gets in Reigns’ hands and is used on Rollins. Triple Crossroads finisher and Rhodes is the new champion.

Cody Rhodes defeats Roman Reigns


World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

The walkouts for this match (which turned out to be the opener) are quite good – McIntyre came out to the Philadelphia Ulster Pipe Band playing their bagpipes while Rollins was joined by the Mummers – all 40-something of them parading around the ramp and ring. Props again to WWE for having some pomp and pageantry. It’s a show, might as well lean into it!

McIntyre with an immediate jumping kick to the face and a quick pin attempt. Rollins rolls out, McIntyre throws a huge belly-to-belly suplex, slams him into the ring steps and takes a selfie with a fan. Another BTB. Rollins responds with a pedigree, gets back into the ring and stomps on the back of McIntyre’s head. Can’t get the pin. They exchange blows, McIntyre wins that with a neckbreaker.

Rollins counters a big boot with a pedigree and stomp again. They both miss high flying moves. DDT for the Scotsman. McIntyre taunts CM Punk at ringside by going for his finishing move, but Rollins counters with an inside package. McIntyre kicks out and boots Rollins in the face. McIntyre clears out the announce table, Rollins counters a powerbomb attempt by elbowing the big man. Rollins with a stomp onto the table.

They roll back into the ring, McIntyre hits another flying kick, still no pin. McIntyre sets up for it again, Rollins yells at him to do it, gets obliged. This time, the 3-count.

Drew McIntyre defeats Seth Rollins.

McIntyre goes over to taunt Punk, who gets in a few licks, followed by a run-in by Damian Priest, who cashes in his long-held Money In The Bank shot on a wounded McIntyre. He hits a big slam and is the new champ.

Damian Priest defeats Drew McIntyre.


WWE Women’s Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley

Slow start to this match. First big spot is Bayley hitting a neckbreaker through the ropes, followed by a plancha between the bottom and middle ropes. Bayley selling a hurt leg and Sky goes to work on it. Sky corkscrews both legs now. Double stomp as well. Bayley bails out of the ring.

Bayley recovers enough to toss Sky over the barricade, catches Sky on a jump attempt and slams her down onto the padded concrete outside. They get back in and Sky kicks out. Tilt-a-whirl sidewalk slam, and another kick out. Bayley gets caught in the top rope and is drop kicked to the outside. Sky adds in a moonsault.

Sunset flip into the turnbuckle by Bayley. Double German suplex by Sky. Sky goes for a moonsault, eats some knee. Bayley climbs up, misses an elbow drop into a crossface submission. Bayley kicks out, but Sky reapplies it after a few seconds of exchanges.

Sky with a backbreaker and a moonsault, can’t get the pin. Sky flips out of a Bayley finisher attempt. Bayley gets a suplex and a top rope elbow. She nails her finisher and gets the pin.

Bayley defeats Iyo Sky


United States Championship Triple Threat: Logan Paul (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens

Logan immediately ducks outside the ring and tells the other two men to have at it. They decide to go after Paul instead and take turns beating on the champ. Drops onto the announce table, the ringside Prime stand… they get him back into the ring and take turns stomping on his limbs. After getting a bunch of licks on Paul, Orton tries a sneak attack on Owens, which fails. They agree it’s just time to go after each other and it’s their turn to hit each other.

Paul flips over the ropes and hits a double clothesline. He beats on Owens for a bit. Owens hits a super kick, tries for a swanton, but Paul gets the knees up. Paul runs outside, hits a swanton on Owens and rolls into a frog splash on Orton, but can’t get the pin.

Double middle-rope DDT from Orton. Owens with a jawbreaker/senton combo onto Orton/Paul, respectively. Owens with a top-rope side slam onto Paul, followed up with a moonsault. Kickout. RKO by Orton. Paul slumps Orton with a brass-knuckle aided punch, but Orton kicks out. Paul hits Owens, too. RKO by Orton, but he’s still selling the punch. Orton gets up first, and grabs the knucks off Paul. He looks at them for a bit and hands them to the ref.

The Prime bottle mascot grabs Paul outside and is revealed to be another streamer, I Show Speed, I think they said his name is? Orton isn’t happy and RKO’s the Youtuber on the table. Eventually we go back into the ring, big powerbomb by Owens onto Paul and a Stunner onto Orton. RKO onto Owens, Paul throws Orton out of the ring and hits a high frog splash onto Owens and gets the 1-2-3.
