ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Eleven weeks wasn’t enough to determine Bellator Fighting Championships’
season-five heavyweight tournament winner as Eric Prindle and Thiago
Santos fought to a no-contest in the featured bout of Saturday’s
Bellator 59 event.
The end came when Prindle was kicked in the groin just 84 seconds into the fight.
The bizarre result provided an anticlimactic end to a fight card that
also saw an in-cage retirement and the crowning of a bantamweight
tournament winner.
