LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – Dana White absolutely loved Max Holloway’s incredible knockout.
Holloway stole the show last night at UFC 300 (Sat., April. 13, 2024) when he brutally knocked out Justin Gaethje in the last second of the “BMF” title fight inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (watch highlights).
During the UFC 300 post-fight press conference (watch here), UFC CEO White was super pumped about Holloway’s viral knockout.
“When we were sitting in that room, and we created the BMF, tonight totally embodied what that belt was built for,” White told the media. “There should be a picture of that fight in the f—king dictionary when you look up BMF. It was incredible…People always ask me what I do; I sell holy sh-t moments for a living, right? That was the ultimate holy sh-t moment of all time. If you were at home, if you were at a bar, or if you were here live tonight, there is no bigger holy sh-t moment than that.”
“That is why Max Holloway is beloved,” White continued. “How many times have you seen a fight where a guy is winning, they click the 10-second thing, the guy puts his hands up, and they run around and move around? He’s got the fight won, and he’s in there with one of the most dangerous guys in the f—cking business, and he says, ‘Let’s do this.’ And they f—cking oblige, and they go in. One second left, and then a knockout like that. That’s like movie sh–t.”
The UFC head honcho is correct in everything that he said. Holloway’s incredible knockout shocked the entire sports world, leaving their jaws on the floor, and it will be replayed for years and years.
“Blessed” might as well start writing his acceptance speech for ‘Knockout of the Year.’ But he can do that after he cashes his $600,000 bonus.
