“Rampage” knows something that we don’t.

Jon Jones is back to training since tearing his pectoral muscle before UFC 295 and is set to defend his Heavyweight crown against Stipe Miocic at some point this year … (hopefully). However, Jones’ former rival, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, dropped a cryptic bombshell on his podcast about “Bones” that could put a wrench into the plans of the former two-division champion.

And it’s probably not about this.

“With all due respect, I’ve got to tell you all something,” Jackson said on a new episode of his JAXXON PODCAST. “Pretty soon, there is going to be some news about Jon Jones. It’ll be really big, and it’s going to shock the whole MMA community. I’m just going to leave it at that.”

Let’s get the obvious thought out of the way: what the heck does Jackson know about Jones? Mainly because, according to Jackson, they haven’t spoken with each other in more than one decade. However, if the mixed martial arts (MMA) community were to take his alleged news at face value, what more could Jones do to shock the MMA world?

Another DUI or DWI? Another domestic violence arrest? Another failed drug test? What about another hit-and-run or threatening to kill a UFC drug tester?

Maybe Jackson will reveal Jones as “Bones,” the serial killer ghost. Or, maybe Jones will defend his title against the winner of Tom Aspinall vs. Curtis Blaydes, which is set to go down at UFC 304 in Manchester.

Now, we wait to see if “Rampage” will deliver on his bombshell (he probably won’t). Nevertheless, Jones said he has a return date set and is waiting for UFC CEO, Dana White, to announce it.

Any day now would be nice, Mr. White.
