Conor McGregor has canceled all UFC 303 media obligations.

That includes the UFC 303 press conference, which was expected to go down later this afternoon at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. UFC CEO Dana White was already on the scene, along with the promotion’s broadcast partner, ESPN, suggesting that whatever drama took place on Sunday must have been pretty significant.

Opponent Michael Chandler was reportedly grounded before takeoff.

No comment yet from any of the parties involved, including McGregor, who also bailed on yesterday’s media commitments, according to Sun Sport reporter Chisanga Malata. Keep in mind that “Notorious” has a history of closing up shop whenever things don’t go his way, to the point where he even pulled the retirement card ahead of two major UFC events.

The current radio silence could suggest UFC is still working to sort things out.

Without an official explanation, we can only speculate as to what transpired behind the scenes. Fan theories include contract dispute, leg injury, and drug-testing issues, just to name a few. Hopefully White and Co. can shed some light on the future of the UFC 303 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which has “way over” 20 million reasons to stay intact.

Stay tuned.
