Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fans have had a rough week.
UFC 303 has had some massive changes. The bad news is that Conor McGregor’s iconic return against Michael Chandler has been canceled. The good news is that Alex Pereira’s legendary run continues as he steps in on two weeks’ notice to defend his Light Heavyweight championship against the man he beat for the strap, Jiri Prochazka.
With UFC 303 looking completely different than what it looked like yesterday, here is what UFC fans had to say about it.
i’m sick to my stomach

Way better card now

Actually really good replacement fights. Pereira vs Jiri 2 is going to be a barn burner.

How long did you hang onto this tidbit to sell some more tickets..

Wow so the rumors from 2 weeks ago were true and you allowed fans to still buy tickets and book flights and hotels? You rock!

Only acceptable replacement would have been Perreira moving up to heavyweight to fight for triple champ status

Surprisingly, the response to UFC 303 has been 50/50. While yes, there is literally no fight that will replace a McGregor fight in terms of viewership and attention, Pereira and Prochzaka are two insane fighters who bring it 100% of the time.
Plus, the addition of Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes and Anthony Smith vs. Carlos Ulberg is fun. However, can the UFC brass kick former Bantamweight title challenger Marya Bueno Silva vs. Macy Chiasson to the “Prelims”? Please?
Anyways, what say you, Maniacs? How do you rate UFC 303 now?
