Jake Paul embarrassed Mike Perry in their pay-per-view (PPV) boxing match last Sat. night on DAZN, which took place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Or Perry embarrassed himself, depending on how you look at it.

I’m not sure what the “Platinum” gameplan was, but walking forward with your hands down and chin up is a surefire way to get knocked out — and he did, getting waved off midway through the sixth round (watch it here).

Perry will limp back to BKFC with his tail between his legs.

As for Paul, he’s expected to fight former WBC heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson this November in Arlington, Texas. A victory in “The Lone Star State” could help “El Gallo” score bigger and better opportunities.

Like a boxing match against UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

“Alex Pereira, you said you wanna box, I’m the king of this,” Paul said after the fight. “Come over, we can make it happen. I want you, Alex Pereira. I just beat a BKFC champion, I beat multiple UFC champions, and he said he wants to box. So Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson let’s make it happen.”

Stranger things have happened in the crazy world of prize fighting.

Finishing Perry pushed Paul’s pro boxing record to 10-1 with seven knockouts. That includes victories over former UFC champions Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, among others, which may explain why the MMA community continues to be enraged by Paul’s antics.

The best way to shut him up is to beat him.

To date, only fellow pugilist Tommy Fury has accomplished that feat. Probably because MMA fighters, much like BKFC brawlers, don’t have adequate training in the “sweet science” and wind up getting outboxed from bell-to-bell.

Perhaps the tables will be turned when Paul makes his eventual debut in PFL.
