Former featherweight champion Jose Aldo had “several offers” following his UFC 301 comeback earlier this year in Brazil, but it appears “Junior” will stick around for at least one more pay-per-view (PPV) event when he collides with ranked contender Mario Bautista as part of the UFC 307 fight card, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 5, 2024 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

That’s according to Ag Fight.

Aldo (32-8) rebounded from his decision loss against No. 1-ranked Merab Dvalishvili to outclass Jonathan Martinez last May in Rio. As for Bautista (14-2), six years younger than Aldo at 31, he’s the winner of six straight, which includes last January’s decision nod over Ricky Simon at UFC Vegas 84.

Next stop on the road to the 135-pound title?

UFC 307 will also feature the featherweight showdown between Movsar Evloev and Aljamain Sterling. Elsewhere on the card, Kevin Holland and Chris Curtis collide at middleweight, not long after Cesar Almeida and Ihor Potieria hook ‘em up at 185 pounds.

Stay tuned for more UFC 307 fight card announcements in the coming weeks.
