UFC 308, scheduled for October 26, 2024 inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, just got even better. First reported by Full Violence and confirmed by multiple sources, blue chip Lightweight prospects Myktybek Orolbai and Matesuz Rebecki will throw down in an 155-pound clash.

26-year-old Orolbai (13-1-1) represents Kyrgyzstan and has won two straight fights inside the Octagon. He debuted on short-notice at Welterweight, stopping the talented Uros Medic in the second round (watch here). He followed that up by largely dominating Chute Boxe’s Elvis Brenner in his sophomore performances, quickly establishing himself as a must-watch Lightweight up-and-comer.

Rebecki, 31, is coming off the first loss of his UFC career at the hands of veteran contender Diego Ferreira. Prior to that defeat, the Polish prospect built up an impressive record (19-2) and won three straight to start his UFC career. A knockout artist and submission threat, Rebecki joined the UFC off Contenders Series as an already complete and rounded martial artist.

UFC 308 is shaping up to be one of the year’s best fight cards. In the main event, BMF champion Max Holloway returns to 145-pounds to challenge Ilia Topuria for Featherweight gold. The UFC 308 co-main will hopefully feature Khamzat Chimaev, who is rebooked versus Robert Whittaker. Elsewhere on the card, Heavyweight contenders Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov will rematch, while Magomed Ankalaev will aim to score his long-awaited title shot by taking out Aleksandr Rakic.

It should be an excellent night of action in Abu Dhabi.
