Jon Jones is firing back at Tom Aspinall with increasingly deranged responses as Aspinall’s media attacks continue. But don’t think the UFC heavyweight champion is actually mad. He’s not mad. He sleeps very well at night, in fact.

That’s the message from “Bones” himself after he stumbled upon an Instagram video of interim champion Aspinall calling him the GOAT … of ducking.

“Fight dodging? Well it has to be Jon Jones, innit?” Aspinall told Sports Bible. “We know he’s trying to fight old man Stipe. He’s gonna fight old man Stipe. He’s a fight dodger.”

“This dude literally has my large black c— in his mouth every week,” Jones wrote in the comments. “I’m flattered. I absolutely guarantee he will not win more world championships than me. That’s truly all that matters at the end of the day. There’s been many champions, no one like me. I sleep good at night.”

This follows a video from Jones on Instagram where he filmed himself throwing a phone into a pool to show how little he cared about Aspinall’s taunts.

Honestly, we think Jon should be thanking Tom for all the attention he’s brought to him over the past year. Jones has been out for a year with a serious pectoral tear, and his eventual opponent Stipe Miocic barely ever says anything on social media, let alone to the press.

Aspinall has carried “Bones” on his back this entire time with callouts. No one would be discussing Jones or his status as P4P No. 1 and greatest of all time if it wasn’t for Aspinall. The British fighter has worked harder and more effectively than any PR flack ever could to keep Jones in the news — and for non-criminal reasons this time.

The least Jones could do as a thank you is fight Aspinall before retiring. But at a certain point, you have to accept that the dozen plus ‘No I will not fight Aspinall’ posts from Jones may actually mean he does not plan to fight Aspinall.

In which case, yeah: fight dodger!
