Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a Mexican ‘Wolverine’ on their hands.

It has been two weeks (Sat., Sept. 14, 2024) since Norma Dumont maimed Irene Aldana at UFC 306 inside The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During their fight, Aldana was split open by an accidental headbutt, and throughout the bout, the nasty cut got worse and worse. By the end of the fight, the Mexican’s face a bloody mess and had one of the worst cuts in UFC history (check it out here). Dumont won the fight via unanimous decision.

Aldana was rushed to the hospital after receiving over 50 stitches for her gruesome cut.

Today (Thurs., Sept. 26, 2024), Aldana posted a video on her Instagram of her face without stitches, and surprisingly, she has recovered pretty quickly.

Check out the video below:

Aldana will have a nice scar to share with her friends and family for long after she is done fighting.

Aldana, 36, is 2-2 in her last four fights, which includes a very disappointing title fight loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 289 in Jun. 2023, and is currently ranked No. 6 in the Women’s Bantamweight division.
